The learning commons has a number of tools available to students in the new makerspace, including a Podcasting studio, 4-3D printers, a cricut, sewing machine, glue guns, art supplies and more.

Students are required to go through an orientation with alibrarian before independent use.

These online tools can help you create exciting projects for your class. If you need any help with these tools please ask the Librarian!

A free online audio recording studio. You need to create an account to use. You can create up to 10 tracks and upload music and sound effect files.

Audio File Sites

Need to add music and sound effects to your project? Try out the following creative commons license sites: Free Music Archive, CC.Mixter, or Freesound. You can upload the files to Podcastle to add depth to your project.

A free online video creator. You need to create an account to use. There are templates to help you get started, or start from scratch if you are more prolific at video editing.

A drawing app that allows you to export multiple file types (.jpg, .png, .pdf, etc.) The app also has a large collection of clipart for use.

Tinkercad is a free online computer-aided design (CAD) program enabling users to design, modify, and print 3D objects, experiment with circuits, or learn to code using blocks.

A set of interactive digital experiments that allow users to explore how tools can be utilized to make drawing, music and more accessible to all.
